Netflix is collecting competition quickly, and their numerous mistakes recently aren’t helping their position any. From what I’ve seen of Xfinity’s Streampix offering though, I have some serious doubts that it’s going to make much of an impact. Not only is it tied to their overpriced cable service, but it also seems seriously limited. Myself, I’d choose (and actually already have) the Blockbuster @Home service my employer, DISH, released a while back, over Streampix any day. With the Blockbuster @Home service I get unlimited streaming, a bunch of movie channels, and movie and video game rentals by mail with in-store exchanges if I want. Not to mention, since it’s Blockbuster, I have access to a lot of the new releases about a month earlier!

Yes but all those desktop os apps wouldn't be compatible with ARM tablets anyways. Its a different architecture. So even if you add the desktop you would not be able to run apps in it.

This seems like a really bad idea. I like the integration of tablets and still having a little of the desktop OS.

Noah has commitments that he can not break. It was out of his control. Give him a break. Besides the Technolon is on Google + now. That must have been hard tor them to get. Google + only just opened up pages for biznesses. Stop ragging on Noah guys he is my favorite.

If you are considering Chromebooks but don't want to leave your Windows apps behind, you should look at Ericom AccessNow, a pure HTML5 RDP client that enables Chromebook users to connect to any RDP host, including Terminal Server (RDS Session Host), physical desktops or VDI virtual desktops – and run their applications and desktops in a browser.

Ericom‘s AccessNow does not require Java, Flash, Silverlight, ActiveX, or any other underlying technology to be installed on end-user devices – an HTML5 browser is all that is required.

You can choose to run a full Windows desktop or just a specific Windows app, and that desktop or Windows app will appear within a browser tab.
